I will be happy to supervise nice projects done as Honour’s Project at Glasgow Caledonian University. My main research interests are:
supply chain security, smart grid security, cyber-physical security, security metrics, and network hardening.
Even if those topics are not interesting for you, I am still willing to supervise projects in different topics. In both cases, your project has to satisfy the following criteria:
- Your project has to be a practical work. Cybersecurity is a large field and the field is open to both practical work and non-practical work. Your project has to include elements like: using tools, running simulations, or working with large amounts of data from credible sources. I am not able to accept projects which include: writing lots of text without any real practical work, interviewing people, writing text like a blog article (not scientific).
- Your project should be good enough to be accepted in a Tier-3 Cybersecurity conference. At least that should be your goal. You can find the list of conferences from:
https://people.engr.tamu.edu/guofei/sec_conf_stat.htm
If you do a project which has that level of quality, I am going to work with you to make it a research paper.
- From the time we agree on a Honour’s Project, you have to update me at least once a month. Even if you have small progress in your project that month, it is totally fine. I am here to guide you in the right direction.
